Thuy Bieu Resort is an impressive highlight on the Perfume River’s bank. The project’s design inspiration comes from the lotus - a flower associated with Vietnamese culture in general and Hue Imperial City in particular. The planning solution embraces the area’s hydrology and topography, creating a lotus flower floating on the Perfume River, nestled on the shore of the heritage land. The organization of space according to the difference in elevation and the arrangement of branches of the buildings integrated with semi-flooded green areas both depict the characteristic image of lotus petals and form vibrant resort spaces, acting as a solution to adapt to the frequent flooding of the Thuy Bieu alluvial area.
